Origami Flower: Tutorial

Okay, so these little flowers, are so darn cute!
And a great time passer!
First, thanks to my friend, Maddie. She showed my how to make these during the Super Bowl!
origamiflower
Aren't they adorable? I have them laying around in my room, everywhere!

origamiflower1
First you need 3x3 Origami Paper
If you don't have any laying around, you can use 'Post It' sticky notes.
(The sticky side will make it more difficult though.)
And a glue gun.

orgamiflower2
Start by laying the paper down back side up.
And fold it corner to corner, creating a triangle.

origamiflower3
Then take the right corner and bring it to the top.
And again with the left corner.

origamiflower4
When your done you should have a diamond with a slit down the middle.

origamiflower5
Next step is complicated!
At the top of your triangle is a slit.
Open it, so it looks like the picture.

origamiflower6
And push it down.
As shown in the picture.
(It's hard, so don't get mad if you mess up.)

origamiflower7
It should look like this. ^^
Repeat with the other triangle.

origamiflower8
It should look like this. ^^

origamiflower9
Fold down the "Mini" triangles at the top.
On both sides.

origamiflower10
Fold your triangle in half.
(Do it to the other side, too.)

origamiflower11
It should look like this. ^^
Now take your glue gun, and put some glue on one of the flaps.

origamiflower12
And push both sides together.

origamiflower13
And you've made one pedal.
Repeat the steps 4 more times and then glue all the pedal together.
And you'll have an Origami Flower!

So what did you think?
Did you like the flowers?
Did I explain it well?
Like the pictures? ( Took them with one hand!)
Let me know!!

More About Me..

Okay, so this is a post so that we can get to know each other better.
Kinda, like get to know ya post!

So first you should know my movie/tv craze.
I have a portable DVD player in my room where I watch movies.
All the time, no lie!
First i'm an action movie girl.
Weird right?
I LOVE The Lord of the Rings!
Like adore. We have all 3 and the Hobbit comes out in December...
SO excited!
I could go on forever, but I'll stop.

A new fav. on my list is Captain America!
Watched on the plane, twice!!
I need to buy, so I can add to my collection!
Goodness I loved it!

Next up?
War Horse.
This movie is like a war version of Black Beauty.
I cried, several times.
 It's REALLY long.
And there a bit of language.
But your are happy when the movies over!

Moving out of the action movies.
One HUGE favorite is
Soul Surfer.
If you haven't seen it, see it!
It's PG mainly because of the shark attack, but I didn't think it was that bad.
(Maybe that has to do with my Lord of the Rings marathons??)
It's a really inspirational movie!

Next is totally
October Baby!
    Everyone should see this.
It's rated PG-13 for the "Mature Elements".
So if your old enough to understand abortion and the cruel aspects of it,
See it.
It comes out on DVD very soon!

Okay next is the kid in me movies!
All the Toy Stories,
Mainly 3!
I love pretty much all Pixar movies.
I do.
But Toy Story beats all.
They make you laugh, they make you cry.
It's just that simple.

Next is
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Good Gracious this movie is hilarious!
But you might shed a tear or two near the end!

Honestly, if I showed you all the movies I loved, you be forever.

But now, my Old TV show craze.

Little House on the Prairie
   I own all 10 season.

   They never, ever get old.
Lets face it, everyone loves em'!

Next,
The Walton's.
"Goodnight, John-Boy"
Right??
Goodness I love them too!
Out of everyone, Mary Ellen is most like me.
And she has the future I want, Nursing!
I've seen every season except 9

Then there's
I Love Lucy
Constant laughter! That's all I can say!

Well there's a bit about me!
More stuff tomorrow!

Oh, yeah! What movie/show do you like??

Braided Headband

Today I did a video to show you how to do a Braided Headband
(Joy gave me the idea of a video!)
Original Pin

Forgive my mistakes and weird sound effects.
And my face, not wearing any make-up!

I was Awarded!

Well, Joy awarded me. So I have to write seven random things about myself!

1. I have a guinea pig named Oreo, who squeaks when she's hungry!
2. If I like a certain part of a movie I'll watch it at least 20 times! (No lie!)
3. I hate mint ice cream.
4. I could live in Target!
5. I call myself Emmers the Great on a daily basis.
6. I REALLY want to go to Bermuda. (Don't ask why, I just do!)
7. I'd kill someone to have Welcher's Fruit Snacks!

Well, that's some random stuff.
I think I'm supposed to award other people so...

Your supposed to have seven but, whatever!

The Mystery of Kolbe Mansion: Part I

THE MYSTERY OF KOLBE MANSION

Part I: At The Station

The air blew hard that October day when Annie and I stood on the platform of the Mayfield Train Station. We were traveling to see our Uncle Bill, and the train had dropped us off in what seemed to be the middle if nowhere. The train station was lonely and no one stood outside, they all sat in the waiting room for the next train. Annie and I were told to wait outside so Uncle Bill didn't have to come looking for us. It was fall and the air had chilled earlier this year, the leaves had turned their beautiful apple red, golden yellow, and fiery orange. The station was old and not well taken care of, there was only one man who worked here, he sold tickets and made sure the trains came in on-time. The train station had a small building attached to a long platform made of wooden beams running vertically. The platform dropped off where the railroad tracks stood. I shivered as a strong gust of wind whipped my body blowing my hair and the white tag that was tied to my lightweight jacket. Annie and I had tickets tied to us when we left the station in Holly Brooke. The woman who tied the ticket said it was in case we got lost.
"Oh i'm cold can't we go inside Owen?" Annie cried as the wind blew fiercely again.
"We can't Uncle Bill might come, and if we're not here he might think we didn't come at all."
"Well it's so cold he'll check inside for us."
"Well he might, but we might as well stay out here where he can't miss us."

I noticed a bench near the end of the platform, and brought Annie over and we sat down. Annie and I sat and waited. Time passed and another train came. People rushed out of the small building and climbed onto the train. The man who ran the station came out and looked at the train. As he turned around her saw Annie and me.
"Weren't you two young-ins dropped off at the last train?"
     "Yes Sir," I told him.
"Don't you need to get on the train?"
"Nope, Mrs, Carter told us to stay off the train in Mayfield and wait outside.

The man was old, he had a white mustache and was mostly bald. He wore a black suit and often took out a gold watch the hung from a train.
"Well you've been here for quite awhile, who are you waiting for?
"Uncle Bill," I told him. His eyebrows went up and his mustache wiggled.
"Uncle Bill," he echoed and thought for a second. "Oh, you must mean William Kolbe."
"We're not waiting for William Kobe, we're waiting for Uncle Billy!" Annie corrected.
"Annie! Hush!" I said, "Sorry sir, she's only six and doesn't know any better, William Kolbe is our Uncle.
"Well i'll be darn! I didn't know he had any family. But you wouldn't know so much if he had a dog, he never leaves that mansion of his."
     "Mansion?" I asked.
"Why yes. Mr. Kolbe has got one of the largest estates in the countryside."
"I thought he was poor," I muttered.
"Ha, no surrey. It isn't a blessing from the rumors that have been spread about his house, yikes! They send shivers down my back."
"Why?" Annie asked. The old man shook his head.
"I think I've told you two young-ins enough. After all, I don't want to give you nightmares."
"Oh, please sir! We may be there a long time and need to know, please tell us," I begged.
"Okay, I see you really want to know. So I'll tell you."

     The train conductor called out,
"All aboard!" The train whistled and slowly started. It was loud and the smoke from the train blew in my face. Then the train pulled out and I saw it no more. I turned to the old man and he began his story.

*Please forgive typos/miss-spelling, I was in a hurry!*
