**When I was asked to guest post on Emma’s blog, I was more
than thrilled! I love her blog and it’s an honor to write and talk about things
with other people. So today I bring you
a post by me…**
I will have to admit to being guilty of this. Well I am of
the female gender and it would be a lie to say I don’t worry. The thing is that girls always worry about
the littlest things.
“Does that boy like me?” “Is my makeup smeared?” “Can you
see my underwear line under my yoga pants?” “Does my nail polish match my
outfit?”
When most of the time, it’s nice to look pretty… You can’t
be perfect. And some days your makeup and hair just doesn't matter.
I totally
know those days.
I really don’t know the answer to why we worry so much. I
think it’s just part of our nature that God created. It’s really neat to think that when we look in
the mirror and see our imperfections; God sees us as absolutely and fully
perfect.
Though we could sit on our bedroom floor and worry about not
wearing the perfect outfit, having the newest trends, or owning that popular
pair of boots. We’re not going to let that stop us. Because although we worry
it’s just a part of us and well…we are girls. We could rule this world.
(at
least I think so…)
We are strong. We are beautiful. We are special. We are
spunky. We are powerful. We are unique.
If we didn't worry about the small details, then we just wouldn't be us. Girls are different. And deep underneath all the complaining,
crying, stress, imperfections, and outward appearances…Worrying is just one way
we cope.
It’s one way to make sure we can be perfect to ourselves. Cause honestly, being a teenage girl is harder
than I thought it would be. And I truly know that even if my friends, school,
or society sees me as imperfect…I’m going to strive to be perfect in my own eyes. It’s worth trying even if we
fail at times. AND……….

Well done Michlyn! Totally agree. I am probably the biggest worrier there is. I worry about everything and anything. The Bible verse, "Be anxious for nothing" is a lot harder to live out huh!
Thanks for blogging!
