Joshua 1 Month Later

Hey guys! 

I loved your B&W photos!

And I'm gonna post my favorites tomorrow!

But for now I thought I'd show you some shots of Mr. Josh!

Today marks 1 month since we met him!

He's such a sweetie to have around.

But don't let his all around cute face fool you.

He has a few sour patches of his own!

And whenever you tell him something in a stern voice he whines,

"Iyyyy knowwww!"

It's quite irritating.

And saying sorry is not one his favorite things to do.

He tries everything to get out of saying it.

But who isn't rough around the edges?

Cause when his tummy is filled, and body rested, he's sweet as can be!

And watch out, he loves giving kisses!

Tian Hu

That's his name.

He knows we call him Joshua.

But he will still respond to Tian Hu.

And when we ask him who he is, he says Hu Hu.

He is adjusting very well.

And he's not as petrified of the dog!

He doesn't like strangers talking to him, but who does. Right?

Laying low this week.

Maybe church this Wednesday ?

Home

Yep, we made it... barely!

The night before we left (Technically that morning!) Joshua and Lily got food poisoning. (or so we think)

Both were throwing up. We thought we were going to have to change flights but we made it.

After a LONG 13 hour flight we are home.

The flight did not let you pick your movie, and all of the movies were blah! 

I also threw up on the flight. (Fun right?)

I'm better now, their better now. And we are home!

Josh is doing SO well! He is adjusting to his new sisters and brother. 

He is petrified of our dog, so Patch is living in his crate. (Sorry Patch)

I was up at 4:30 this morning! (Hello Jetlag!)

My Mom at 5, and Lily around 6!

Back to land where I'm constantly tired :(

Hopefully a post tomorrow not sure, I'm kinda being a lazy slug. :)

Going Home!

Oh, My! Tomorrow we begin the journey home!

We arrive in the U.S. at 7:50pm!

Can you belive it? We going home!

It's kinda bittersweet for me. I LOVE China, but there'so place like home!

Oh, Yeah! Our consulate went REALLY well!

Guangzhou Zoo

I was supposed to post this yesterday... but.

Ya know, I was tired after I uploaded them and, yeah.

Well yesterdays adventure was going to the Guangzhou Zoo, Again!

We thought it wasn't going to be as hot as last time.

We were wrong.

Everyone still sweat through their clothes.

We were dripping, literally!

Can't say much has changed in 2 years.

It was WAY more crowed then in '10.

Some of the animals didn't look as starved as last time.

And OMGosh! The Red Panda's are still super cute and friendly!

Don't you want to pet them??

I got my picture with the Mushroom and Kangaroo last time, so I did this time!

One thing was different this time,

We had Joshua!

Lily vs. Chopsticks/ Medical Appointment

Well we trucking towards the end of our trip here.

I must say I can't wait till Sat. night! My bed again!

I love China, but there is no place like home!

Last night we had a group dinner at a Cantonise place. (Forgot the name.)

Lily decided that chopsticks were her thing.

Haha! Isn't she cute?!

Today was Joshua's Medical Appointment.

Did you know the MA arn't on Shiman Island anymore??

They move 4 months ago! To a bigger cleaner and cooler building!

Joshua aparently did very well.

I sat with Lily while Mom and Dad took Joshua to the stations.

Hello Again Guangzhou!

We are here in Guangzhou!

We met Lily here a little less than 2 years ago!

Plane ride went well!

Joshua LOVED take-off and landing.

However, he's a little squirmy in-between. (Not sitting next to him on the 14 hour flight!)

Lily slept through the 2 hours flight! (The one time I don't sit next to her!)



We arn't staying on Shiman Island this time.

We are at the China Hotel!

Which is pretty nice. (Our room is kinda small though)

We ate inside the hotel at a place called Food Street!

It was really good!

Tomorrow (Monday) we have our medical exam. (Oh, Joy!)

Park in Zhengzhou

Hello again! Things are going o.k.

On Wednesday Joshua broke out in Hives.

We first thought it might be an allergic reacion. However, after contacting his foster parents we decided they were most likley due to stress.

Please pray for Joshua as his Hives are not going away.

Tonight after eating at the Holiday Inn Express.

We went to the park to blow bubbles and play with light-up spinny things.

Joshua really digs the bubbles.

I love when he squints his eyes!

Blowing raspberries! He's a goofball!

I wanted to get a picture of J and L holding hands. 

It was a succsess!

Tomorrow we fly to Guangzhou!

Pray that J and L do a good job! 

More Gotcha Day ( After the Gotcha)

Yesterday went REALLY well.

Joshua is doing super awesome.

The poor dude's been through alot this week!

This morning he became OFFICALLY ours!

Oh My! What a morning!

Sorry I haven't posted the last few days.

I caught whatever Lily had and have been feeling very poorly.

My Mom has been posting on her blog so you can see our last few days there.

We have Joshua!! O MY GOSH! He is absolutley ADORBLE!

He was SOOO scared at first.

But he didn't cry!

He held on to Mama and looked very overwhelmed and confused.

We gave him some toys and he just sat there.

As you can see the smiles came! And they kept going!

We showed him bubbles and he began squeeling!

Right now it's nap time.

There are soo many picures! But it takes FOREVER to upload them so... little at a time!
